One of problems when we run windows on Mac is sound driver. And here is we want to share about our experience about installing Windows 8 on Macbook Air and all driver working well include sound or audio driver. Before we success fix this, we have try to install Windows 7, and Windows 8.1 and then Windows 8, the problems is no sound. All drivers working but sound or audio not working. We have try to install anything of sound driver include Audio display driver that is packed on Graphics driver ( Intel ) but still no sound. The audio icon on the screen working well but no sound can hear.
Finally i try to prepare all driver needed using the option on the Boot cam assistant of the Mac and all problems fixed. The step to make this fixed is below. You should know that all driver working using this steps.
1. Install the Windows 8 on your Macbook Air using Boot Camp Assistant option of your Macbook, you can ask me if get the problem here.
2. After all Windows 8 installation finished and Windows working well ( no sound is no problem ), log into Mac.
3. Download all driver needed for Windows support from Boot camp assistant. Or download using our link : Driver Windows 8 on Mac. If you want to download from Boot Camp Assistant follow this steps : Prepare the flash disk ( 2gb or more ) and format with FAT and plugin to your Macbook, Open Boot Camp Assistant, Check Download Windows support only, Click next, Manage to save the file to the flash disk, and click Save. So the download will begin and wait until finished.
4. Restart the Macbook and get into Windows 8. And open the file you have downloaded on the flash disk. Open and run Setup.exe of the file and you can see all drivers will installed automatically include sound driver that is will make your Macbook audio working well although running Windows 8.
By using the steps above, the sound problem of your Macbook that is running Windows 8 will fixed, also keyboard back light working, bluetooth and other devices will OK and you can enjoy MacOS and Windows 8 on your Macbook Air.
